David S Wise

On a later post, I dismissed the fact that the Wise family was part of the Ephrata Cloister, because I could not find their name on a list of member. I was talking to mother today and she comes up with history that Dad had told her. David Wise was in the Cloister. Mother thought that his parents were part of it. David got Rebecca Gushart pregnant at the Cloister (her family were also members) and they left and got married. Now that I look at the dates - they got married on August 11, 1859 and there first child, Albert, was born on November 9, 1859.
